— Meeting between Rolex Replica watchmaking and architecture.

UK Rolex Replica Watchmaking and architecture share common terminology as well as identical construction principles. Parallel to this, form and function interweave to underpin design. Philosophical resemblances and structural similarities under the scrutiny of architect Alex Leuzinger.

The Replica Watches UK: Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph by Patek Philippe ref. 5990/1 A

A cult design, two of the most sought-after complications, exemplary readability… The Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph adds the famous mechanism that makes it possible to read the second time zone at a glance to a classic chronograph movement. Two useful functions that Patek Philippe blends with the iconic aesthetics of the Nautilus whose porthole-inspired shape as well as its two lateral hinges on the case prove to be particularly suited to using these complications. While the righthand hinge acts as a protective reinforcement for the crown and chronographer pushbuttons, its left-hand counterpart has been replaced by the pushbuttons making it possible for the local time hand to go forward or backwards in hourly jumps. Smooth handling that is positively child’s play, coupled with a day/night indicator for each time zone and a perpetual calendar pegged on the local time. The dial reflects the collection’s emblematic design with its horizontal Nautilus textured pattern in subtle shades of black. Excellent aesthetics working in conjunction with useful functions driven by the new CH 28-520 C FUS mechanical self-winding caliber.

Its architectural equivalent : Brazil’s Niteroi Contemporary Art Museum (MAC) by Oscar Niemeyer

Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, one of the most famous Brazilian architects, the MAC opened in Niteroi, opposite Rio de Janeiro in 1996, after five years of construction. Intended to house the João Leão Sattamini Neto art collection, the museum is a work of art in itself that the public discovers when it comes to look at the some 1200 works exhibited. Rising to the heavens “like a flower” in Niemeyer’s own words, the 16-meter high, 18 to 20-meter diameter circular building, offers a staggering view of Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Corcovado. The building’s silhouette has a unique influence on the view over Rio de Janeiro and gives visitors a sense of being confronted by a futuristic headlight rising out of the earth.

Its contours reveal the mature, daring work of an experienced artist… The influence of Corbusier (1887-1965) can be seen through the rational use of materials and the formal, adornment- free language which promotes the architectural concept of the building. The way in which Oscar Niemeyer positions simple, linear shapes enables him to use a hard, raw material such as concrete which he makes lighter and which he engineers into a playful dance between the water of the swimming pool in which it is mirrored and the surrounding sea. This harmonious, poetic simplicity makes this building a futuristic element, as well as a classic that is able to convey unique emotions.

The Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph fits into this mind set. The choice of steel – a “hard” material like that of the concrete used for the MAC – is thus transformed through a bold idea into a poetic object capable of transporting us into a new universe as well as becoming an icon of modern design. Inspired by the shape of a porthole, with the changing shades of its dial and its harmonious curves, the Omega Replica watches is reminiscent of the ocean and the reflecting pool in which the curved silhouette of the building created by Niemeyer is mirrored and outlined.

Zenith Replica Watches: victory for Ladycat powered by Spindrift racing at the Bol d’Or Mirabaud

The sailing boat in Zenith Replica Watches For Sale colours led home the 518 boats that entered, winning in 5 hours, 38 minutes and 18 seconds – an excellent time set at the end of a tough and lively race. This is a good omen as the team is now on stand-by to attempt to set a speed record crossing the Atlantic.

The 76th Bol d’Or Mirabaud, around Lake Geneva, will long be remembered by all crews as an exceptional race. Contested in a strong North wind, between 15 and 25 knots, the race conditions were idyllic, with warm temperatures and sunny skies.

“The strategy was to stay in contact with our competitors and not to take extreme options, so that we could seize every opportunity and keep some cards up our sleeve,” explained Dona Bertarelli, skipper of Ladycat powered by Spindrift racing, the winner of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, at the end of the race.

As is often the case, the victory was determined when passing the Bouveret barge – the halfway point and a cape that is often very difficult to navigate. In fact, the lead sailing boats were slowed down significantly at the top of the lake, whereas a strong North wind was blowing on the rest of the pack out in open water; a moment that was particularly gruelling for the skippers’ nerves, but which gave Dona Bertarelli, Yann Guichard and their teammates a chance to return to the head of the race, which had previously been led by Alinghi, Realstone and Mobimo.

“The goal was still to be in the leading pack at the halfway mark,” Yann Guichard explained. “We knew the wind was going to soften at the halfway point and that it would return again strongly ahead of us. We managed to take the lead 150 metres from Bouveret, and we could better anticipate the second part of the race, which always promised to be tough.”

At the end of 66.5 nautical miles covered in 5 hours and 38 minutes, the Decision 35 Ladycat powered by Spindrift racing crossed the finish line, ahead of Realstone and Alinghi. It is the second time in a row that a sailing boat in Zenith colours has won the Bol d’Or; the M1 Zenith catamaran, skippered by Jean-Philippe Bucher, came out as the winner in 2013; unfortunately, he fell victim to a tear in his main sail this year.

“I’m very proud of my team who sailed well from start to finish,” concludes Dona Bertarelli. “It’s also an enormous pleasure to win the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, and the race for the second time. Now we have to win the next edition because to keep the Bol d’Or forever, you have to win the race three times in five years.”

Following this success in Geneva, the entire team have now turned their attention to the low-pressure large-scale weather systems coming from Canada and the north of the Unites States, which could allow Spindrift 2 to contest the record for crossing the Atlantic, as well as the Zenith speed record over 24 hours. In fact, the maxi trimaran is on stand-by in Newport, ready to be launched on the quest for this record, which is one of the biggest sailing challenges of all time.
